Boundary layer separation is an important physical phenomenon because it gives rise to a greatly enhanced drag force acting on a non-streamlined obstacle placed in a high Reynolds number flow. This is the case because the pressure in the comparatively wide wake that forms behind a non-streamlined obstacle, as a consequence of separation, is relatively low. The outline also looks a bit smooshed, which can be caused by inadequate cooling. A good wide 2 layer raft of 12mm and Separation Distance 0.20mm was needed for wings but still can’t entirely get rid of warping. Used both 0.20 and 0.10mm layer height with excellent results. Properly tuning the printing settings can mitigate this effect.
